Animal Vaccination Services

Our animal vaccination services, conducted in our East Tennessee Smoky Mountains Spay, Neuter, Vaccination Clinic.

Please note:  We will only administer vaccinations to animals who have been previously spayed or neutered, or who are to receive vaccinations in conjunction with a scheduled surgery.

Puppies should be vaccinated for rabies by 16 weeks. A booster is required one year later, and then every year thereafter. Note: A three year rabies vaccination is available upon request.

Testing Fees

Dogs:

We recommend heart worm preventive be administered year round, since Tennessee ranks 10th nationally in the number of reported heart worm incidents.  All dogs over 6 months of age who are not on heartworm preventive should be tested for heartworms.

If the heart worm test is negative, or if you have a prescription from another veterinarian, heart worm preventive is available for sale. Please contact our clinic for current pricing.

Cats:

We do not require Feline Leukemia (FeLV) testing to vaccinate for that disease. However, we highly recommend testing prior to vaccination because if your cat is infected with the virus, the FeLV vaccination will not protect or cure your cat.  Additionally, vaccination without testing may put other household cats at risk of infection. Our blood test checks for FeLV, feline immunodeficiency virus (FIV), and feline heart worms.
